Hi!

I am a Guatemalan-American artist who resides in Rhode Island. I grew up in Bensenville Illinois, an hour away from Chicago. I enjoy drawing and painting but focus on the continuous exploration and process of 3D art and animation. I find joy in discovering the functionalities of 3D programs and bringing my ideas to life through digital mediums.

Learning about art and the creative process improves my quality of life. Communicating was always a struggle, admittedly art makes my life easier.  It helps me collect my thoughts and words. Because I can be creative and communicative, I want to express ideas as best I can.

In my work, I practice implementing phrases and metaphors. I use textures found in traditional art like chalk pastels, paints, and pencils. I often prefer pastels over desaturated color palettes. Pastels remind me of the cartoons I enjoyed. The shapes I use are usually friendly and have rounded-off edges. 3D art allows me to combine my appreciation of traditional art elements with 3D animation. Furthermore, the medium lets me integrate surreal elements into my ideas. Ultimately, I get to experiment with giving ideas movement and life.

I graduated in the pouring rain with a BFA in Animation + Game Arts on May 16th, 2024. As a graduate student, I aim to fine-tune the alienhood of my creativity and the traditional characteristics of art.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss my work further, please feel free to connect. I'm here to assist you and provide any information you may need.
